REFUGE ACCOMMODATION

We are the only dedicated refuge in Cumbria offering safe emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse.

We have seven bedrooms that each have a lockable door, a large, bright communal lounge, kitchen and a small but beautiful garden.

If you come to live in our refuge you will be allocated a specialist domestic abuse support worker who will support you in your recovery via 1:1 support. You will be given practical help with benefits, housing, criminal and civil proceedings as well as anything else you might need to rebuild your life.

SAMWORTH HOUSE

Samworth House provides Cumbria’s first dedicated male safe accommodation service. We provide safe, secure accommodation for male survivors of domestic abuse.

We have three double bedrooms, shared bathroom, kitchen, lounge and dining room.

If you come to live at Samworth House you will be allocated a specialist domestic abuse support worker who will support you in your recovery via 1:1 support. You will be given practical help with benefits, housing, criminal and civil proceedings as well as anything else you might need to rebuild your life.
